Our Experience

Medics On Scene has extensive experience providing medical services for Eventing, Show Jumping, Dressage, Show Hunter, A&P Shows and Pony Club events. We understand the operational realities of horse sports—from cross-country courses and multiple competition areas to rider extrication, remote access and working alongside officials. Our planning reflects the unique demands of equestrian events rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.

Medical Planning for Equestrian Events

Equestrian events require more than simply placing a medic beside the competition area. Effective medical planning must account for the layout of the venue, simultaneous competition areas, cross-country access, response routes, communication systems and the safe movement of an injured rider.

Medics On Scene works with organisers to develop a medical response appropriate to the size, location and demands of each event. Planning may include the positioning of medical teams and treatment facilities, vehicle and ambulance access, patient transport routes, communications with event officials and liaison with emergency ambulance services.

Medical Capability Matched to Your Event

The level of medical cover required will vary between a local arena-based competition and a major event operating across multiple competition areas or a cross-country course.

Depending on the event, Medics On Scene can provide experienced First Responders, Emergency Medical Technicians, Registered Paramedics and Paramedic Specialists, supported by appropriate treatment equipment, response vehicles and clinical governance. Our recommendations are based on the event’s activities, venue, expected attendance, access constraints and likely medical workload.
