The course is designed to prepare providers who are most likely to respond to a medical emergency due to their occupation or interests including Fire-fighters, Police Officers, Fisheries Officers, Lifeguards, Emergency Team members, high risk workplace safety officers or voluntary Rescue Teams and Emergency Response Teams.

1. Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Course
The PHEC course is suited to those who work in high-risk environments or are more likely to be required to respond in a medical emergency.
It is a 3-5 Day course ( 8 hour days ) and includes an assessment day. Course length depends on your specific needs and group size.
The course is designed to prepare providers who are most likely to respond to a medical emergency due to their occupation or interests including Fire-fighters, Police Officers, Fisheries Officers, Lifeguards, Emergency Team members, high risk workplace safety officers or voluntary Rescue Teams and Emergency Response Teams.
Introduces an enhanced patient assessment process, integration of advanced equipment and techniques.
We are able to tailor the course to your specific workplace / environment and put more weight on topics and skills that are relevant to your situation.
The course is interactive, practical and physical but you will have the skills and confidence to make a difference and prepare a patient for Emergency Medical Services.
Scenarios will be worked through in the classroom as well as "in the field" for realism - this is an essential part of learning the process. You must be physically fit and able to participate in all exercises.

Upon completion you will have the ability to provide immediate advanced first aid in any situation and have familiarity with basic emergency equipment. You will also get a Medics On Scene Certificate of Achievement (PHEC) or NZQA Certification if you chose that assessment option.
